Samsung shows connected but is not

My Samsung 6 shows that I am connected to WiFi in settings, but I still can't access the internet. Many of the solutions here seem to point to the router, but this happened in a restaurant where all of the other phones in our party, which were two iPhones and a Samsung Galaxy 8, could connect to the wifi but my Samsung 6 could not even though it showed the symbol for being connected. This happens a lot. Can anyone help?
