samsung smart 32" wont connect sound to samsung home theater

my tv doesnt seem to have an hdmi out port so i cant send the picture and sound to my blu ray. my xbox 360 works but thats because it is plugged directly into the blu ray. i have tried the av cords and the digital output but nothing seems to work. i have to watch netflix on my tv and listen to it through the speakers on the tv not the home theater. pls help.

There should be sound out of your TV, but not picture out of your TV. Look for a Red and White output.

Did you go into the TV settings and change the audion options? You almost always have to change the TV settings and switch from internal speakers to the audio out.
