I currently have a laptop and i want to know what it would be worth so that i can use the money to buy a desktop

A10 with blue ray, if in like new shape, probably $300-350 real value although eBay has a bunch with asking prices in the $400 range. List it there and see what happens. You can see what the bidding on them is going up to, that is closer to the value than the asking prices.
