Sending my desktop screen to tv

How can I show my desktop screen of my laptop on my TV without using an HDMI cable? Kind of like the new chromecast you can stream like hulu to your tv from your computer. Can I do something like that?

you should get a chromecast. the feature of sending your whole desktop is in beta but it is there and it will definitely be made stable in the future. I know it works pretty well for some people so you can definitely try that. the chromecast is also very cheap and it's your best bet. If you're only looking to watch hulu from your laptop on your tv, then the chromecast can also cast a google chrome tab on the tv. again, these 2 features are in beta but they work pretty well and will definitely be improved in the near future.
