I loved the HD598's in terms of sound quality. They render a lot of detail very nicely. I didn't like that they look like I stole 'em from a billionaire's yacht.Tip: get Sennheiser's 1/4" (6.3mm) to 1/8" (3.5mm) cable dongle. It's better than the included adapter.

I like the HD598, but a used HD600 is better for audiophiles.For gaming i use the HD681 EVO and the Takstar HI2050.(AKG and Beyer clones.)These are true budget champions under 50$.
