Hello everyone! Sorry for intruding a hard ware forum with a question regarding headphones. I have posted on here before regarding my build so. :)

Anyways. I have had my pair of Sennheiser HD 558s for a super duper long time. I have loved them and they are sturdy and strong. But just recently I have noticed this vibrating/shaking noise coming from my left ear cup when I play audio or a song with a lot of bass. I can not really explain it but it sounds like something is out of place and vibrating. It is faint but loud enough for me to notice it when listening to my bass filled music. Could this be a bad problem that I should get fixed? I do not think they are under warranty anymore. I will admit that I have dropped them quite a few times and accidentally run over the cord in my chair. The cable seems to handle it no problem and I do not think it is damaged. Maybe it is time to get some new headphones?

Thank you for your responses!

agreed, its certainly an issue with the driver or how its mounted.

also agreed, you would want to take a look to see what is going on. i'm thinking it may be the driver is loose and rattling though it could be something else. the only way you will be able to tell is by having a look. you can likely find a video or instructions on how to take apart the headphones safely.
