Well, I'm new to this Forum as a user so I hope I'm posting this on the right place! For some years now that I've looked at TH as a source of knowledge and since no one could really answer me in my country's forums I'm coming straight to the best.

For months I'm lurking around a pair of Sennheiser MX-W1 but they've always been expensive, so no can do. But now I found them for sale in the only place in my country (Portugal) through the Sennheiser distributor in the country for a price of 238€. Since I've started reading reviews of the phones I've seen them at 500 dollars most of the time so I thought that 238€ which are around 328 US dollars is a lot cheaper and considering that normally things get pricier in my country with the exchange rate it was a good surprise to find them at this price.

So my main doubt is this, they were too expensive for being recommended but at this price are they really worth it? Wireless on this phones (Kleer techonlogy) is a major deal for me since I want to play PC games at night after work (I work rotative shifts and get out pretty late) without the hassle of wires and without disturbing anyone in the house. Plus I have an iPod so I can also use it to avoid wires falling from my ears when I go on the road.

I would really like to know if at this price they are a recommended buy or still are a gadget for those guys who like to have all the new stuff that comes out every year. My main concern is the lifetime of the phone's batteries which is around 3-4 hours, which seems a bit small.

Hope that someone can answer me.

At 328 US dollars is a god deal.

I would really like to know if at this price they are a recommended buy or still are a gadget for those guys who like to have all the new stuff that comes out every year.

If the sound quality is what they say it is then it's a premuim price you pay, adding a wireless system in a small package and something has to give and this time it's the battery.

My main concern is the lifetime of the phone's batteries which is around 3-4 hours, which seems a bit small.

You can make a charger for it and use while it's being charge like it's wired earbud, remove it when it's charge, that way you won't lose the time to charge it.

As the specs said it uses 2.5 mm DC plugs so that's easy to find and I would assum each earbud have 1.2 to 1.5 volts. A simple battery configuration for charging will get you're music playing all day till you run out of charge batteries.

I just hope it's capable of playing music while it's charging

I don't know if it's capable of playing anything while charging. The good part is that the small package where you keep them also charges the phones, and since I only plan to use them like from 11pm to 1-2am I guess their batteries do the service! The rest of the time that I'm at home (which isn't much I must say) I can give use to my Logitech Z-2300 that sound pretty good and some rest to my inner ears!

Thanks for the reply, now I have to decide where to spend my money first, renewing my PC or finishing my "collection" of peripherals!
