Don't get me wrong. I felt like doing that in the past and felt logical to think "if I'm not alone then I should do it together with someone".

How many people are going to step up on the side of the bridge to read the message in the water? Hope they don't fall.

i wonder.

its illegal to kill yourself where i live,
if they put something like this close by me i would go to see it.

if someone saw me looking at it, called police or police came by, would i wanted to see the projector thing, be a good enough excuse to get out of paying a fine and paying for what i would assume be court ordered phyc treatments?

Umm anyone else think this is a terrible idea. People are naturally mentally drawn toward light. This could cause people that are going to jump over the edge to look closer and fall.

I am curious... if its illegal to kill yourself, then how exactly do they enforce that?

[citation][nom]wribbs[/nom]Suicide/death sucks but so does the world/people. This seems like a tiny band-aid over the shithole that must be Serbia. I suppose it will be interesting to see if the suicide rates go down. If not, maybe get some of those Foxconn nets.[/citation]

Suicide rate in Serbia is way below then in Korea or Japan. Are Korea and Japan shitholes?

why not just display the sign prominently without the need to climb the bridge to be able to read it? and put up a really strong, tall fence. suicide is not the easy way out to life's problems. so you have to work really hard at it to succeed. that should leave only the determined ones to attempt it.

It's not illegal to kill yourself, since if you do obviously they can't do anything. It's illegal to attempt and fail though, that is where you get in trouble.

*evil thoughts on* But then again if you can't even get killing yourself right you really don't deserve to live :p *evil thoughts off*

People tend to ignore fliers and posters (we see them everywhere no reason to look), the reason they tried this is cause it is something new and will get the jumpers attention, that is the important part of this.

You are so smart...we can all live with that, it seems that you can't. I didn't do it, if you want to hate me, then hate me, but I will not commit suicide because of that. People like that want more blood, they are not committing suicides.

I'm from Belgrade and I can tell you that most jumpers jump on the railroad tracks or concrete on the beginning of either side of this bridge. Also I know a couple of people in McCann Erickson in Belgrade and well... I'm not surprised. :)

I live in Belgrade and yeah, it's a shithole. It's better than 10 years ago but still... be real...

Yikes, that is just perverse! Over here it is impossible to "commit" suicide as it is not illegal, but it is illegal to aid/abet someone who is attempting suicide. If someone has attempted suicide, surely an enforced time in a psychiatric hospital is more fitting than a fine or a prison!
