Set of Headphones/set for a laptop

Hey,

I'm thinking of getting a new set of headphones and a headset and have been looking around, but was wondering if anyone around here had any advice.
What I'm trying for is a set that'll perform well on a laptop, (the alienware m17x), with suround sound, and maybe an integrated soundcard.
Or even a seperate external card altogether.
