Setup: Samsung Smart Tv, Bose Surround, Directtv

My system was running fine. All components are within 5 years of new. Everything was running fine. I shut the system down for the night and my son went in to watch tv and did something and now I cannot get the tv to come up.
I turned on the bose like I normally do, select input 1 or 2 which I did and nothing. The direct tv is on. I took the samsung remote and pressed the input button to chose the input that it was connected up to ( hdmi 4) and it says that there wasn't a connection. My son said he didn't touch the cabling, just the samsung remote. I cannot figure my way back to the way it was working. AT ALL.

Try a new hdmi cable. I had one go bad on me last month (go figure... i mean they do just 'sit there' how can it go bad. LoL)
