I have a Lenovo Y500 with an Intel Core i7-3630QM, and normally at 64% battery life it should be hovering around 1 hr 50 minutes left. Lately at 64% it's hovering around 1 hr 9 minutes left of battery life.. I'm wondering what the problem is - if I wind up replacing the battery using one that's Lenovo manufactured, would I expect to get the same or better battery life? Or is it the problem of the laptop drivers? Or something else?

How long interval from u last check (1hr 50m & 1hr 9m)?

Any updates / new installation / battery calibration at those interval ?

I haven't bought a new battery for it yet and I mostly run my laptop on default power settings for Windows 8.

Batteries don't last forever, and if you've had one for a while and abused it (constantly left it charging, drained the battery to the bottom and just charged it when necessary, etc,) it's probably dying.

Yeah that's what I'm figuring. I've had the laptop for almost two years now, I should contact Lenovo and see if I can get a replacement while it's still under warranty.
