Solved! shift key on lenovo ideapad not working; can't select multiple emails in inbox listing

I'm trying to organise my inbox folders and move emails into appropriate folder. I have a new Lenovo Ideapad 330 and the shift key doesn't seem to work when I try to select several emails in a serial block (e.g. all from same sender). It's driving me crazy, having to select each mail individually. Can anyone help please?

Maybe the Microsoft On Screen keyboard would help you. Find it in the list of programmes on your Desktop under the heading of Windows Ease of Access.

There aren't many laptops with only one Shift key but you just picked the wrong one. 😀
