Shortcut Virus on USB Flash Drives

I don't know what happened. I typed a whole story but it seems to have disappeared. Okay, I have tried everything under the sun with the USB virus story. I've tried the attrib command prompt, I ran every drive I own along with the actual computer drive through anti virus software. I've done everything I could think of and everything I found on here but the problem still persists. No matter what I do every time I copy anything onto a flash drive it creates shortcuts and hides the files. Every. Single. Time. I'm really just frustrated at this point and close to just setting the whole freaking PC on fire. I can unhide the files for like 2 seconds then it just hides them again. Please can anyone help?
