Should I buy the LG 55LF5610?

Hi,

I recently asked for some recommendations on what TV to buy and got a great recommendation but unfortunately all the cheap suppliers had none left in stock when I went to order today.

Basically I am looking for a TV that is:

1. Under £450
2. Full HD
3. Has HDMI and USB
4. 50 inch or above
5. Is wall mountable (wife decided she wants it on the wall)
6. Good for gaming and watching movies.
7. Has decent sound (possible option to add external speakers)


I found the LG 55LF5610 which satisfies the first 5 and was wondering if anyone knows if it satisfies 6 & 7? From what I have read it does have good picture quality but I cannot the response time. The only thing I found was Manufacture Motion Rate = PMI 300 Hz but I don't know how that translates to response time. I'm also unsure what IPS panel is and if it is good that this TV has it. I know it has Dolby Sound Technology, Stereo Sound and 2 internal speakers, each is 10W. However, I don't really understand this, so don't know if it is good. I have looked for reviews but can't make up my mind from the ones I have read.

At that price point, you would be hard pressed to do any better. Go for it!
