Should I set SysKey on my laptop?

Is it worth doing? Any cons / pros of doing it? Is it making my pc more safe if I ever get a virus or malware? Thanks

just makes potential recovery of your data externally (booting a Live CD and accessing it, or putting your drive in a docking bay) in the event of a mainboard failure, etc., virtually impossible...

It does not prevent any malware at all....system disc is unencrypted when system in use...

It does prevent casual unauthorized use of your system...
