Should I use Maya? or Autocad? For 3D Character Design And To Animate Them

I wanna design people models and them animate them by talking, moving, dancing, doing jumps from 20th floor building's etc you know.

Allot of users tell me Autocad is for home design and Maya is were you should be designing 3D Model then animating them to do anything you want.

That would be a job for maya, and a year or two learning to be able to do all that.

yes AutoCAD is for home design you should use Maya for all the character design/animation and stuff like that. You can also use 3Ds Max which is another great 3d modeling software but Maya is little bit more popular then 3Ds Max
