Shutting down Issue

My acer laptop is stuck on "shutting down" screen. It's blue screen that says shutting down and that's all it'll do. If I close the laptop it will come back up to shutting down. How do I get it back to normal?

How long has it stayed in 'Shutting Down' mode?

The ultimate resolution to this problem, though not ideal, is to hold the power button down for 10 seconds. That should get the PC to shut down. When you boot back up, you may get the 'Windows didn't shut down properly' message. Choose 'Start Normally' if that's the case. If you boot to Windows fine, try a restart and see if the shutdown problem occurs again.

It has done this for 4 days but I tried holding the power button down and it's back to normal. So far so good. Thank you cause I'm clueless to anything difficult with computers lol
