How harmful it would be is impossible to say but it can't be good for you. Get new earphones.

Sorry I don't know for sure. It could be ferrofluid from the speaker inside the earphone or something from the plastic that the earphone is made from.
You would have to find a chemist to tell you the name of that substance.
