He, he, Apple has royally screwed it's customers again. by integrating this Siri into iP4S' OS, instead of leaving it as an app, they will have to void their warranty to get it or to pay more money for the latest phone to get it; either way, they're screwed.
Of course, iSheeple will not see this for what it is (a money racket), but instead will see it as a feature; no worries, iSheeple, you will get your Siri integrated in the next ipad, which means you'll have to pay more money to get it. Talk about selling an app at the price of a device...

This is the dumbest article circulating the web. They DID NOT get Siri to run on an iPad or iPhone 4 - they only got Siri to start and get a few screenshots. That's it. They haven't been able to get Siri to accept any voice input or process that input to provide a meaningful response.

All this story is good for is the Apple haters so they can bash Apple and accuse them of forcing people to upgrade to the 4S when Siri runs on older devices. Nobody has got it to run on older devices. This is the ultimate example of vaporware.

What's funny is how the haters lower their standards. If anyone else made some fantastic claims about their software, but weren't able to demonstrate that software besides a few carefully selected screenshots, people would be all over them. But since there's the slightest hint of Apple doing something "wrong", people "accept" what they claim since it gives them more ammo to bitch about Apple.

Wheras Android users can't access it full stop, even on new devices.

Sorry who is worse off?

Apple sucks. I have to jail break my iphone 3g, just to get a background image and/or be able to record video and/or just to do some simple multitasking. I even havew the latest iOS and still can't do any of that. Oh ya, even wireless hot spot 🙁

Apple always sells small features as an upgrade to push people to the next device.

Ummm, at this point I dont have siri envy, but rest assured that something superior to siri will soon be out for the Android, and it will likely be free as it should be. After all, most of the necessary ingredients for developing a siri like application were already available in Android phones. In passing, let me just say that a smart phone with only 512 meg or ram (a la iPhone 4s) ain't something I would want to deal or be seen with at this point in history-- that is sooooooooooo yesterday. So thanks, but no thanks iCrap. Keep your cloudy locked-down junk.

^ Don't really know what you're talking about, do you. Siri requires more than a phone to work - it relies heavily on server side processing. So your argument that the "necessary ingredients" are already there is pure BS.

And if you knew anything about programming you'd realize 512MB of RAM is lots if the OS is efficiently written.

Well guys i think its enough of getting each other, Each bran tries to apply its own philosophy and that's normal, what isn't normal is that we are fighting on a point of view.

Each one of us likes a device because he/she sees the best in it and by the way for all parties, nothing is perfect nor bad.
In the end each brand has its advantages and disadvantages.

Relax and enjoys the modern tech at full.

(Note: Don't try to say 512 ram isn't enough for the IOS if you are not fully aware of the world of programming) del35.

and if you are aware of programming, it is unfair just throwing up stuff like that because you hate a brand.

wow i never seen someone hates the iphone like him before, but who am i to judge him and therefore every one is free to express his/her opinion the way he/she likes.

But to be honest i always wanted to shoot something i hate the most as an object of course not a human being.
