Slow Wifi (Hardwired Internet Is Fine)

So I am having intermittent (more like, frequent) issues with my laptop wifi. The internet connection will be painfully slow, but fine on other machines or my phone. I have tried re-installing the network card and its drivers a couple of times, which hasn't fixed the problem. I don't know enough about network settings to know whether they are correct, or to really mess with them at all. I bought the laptop used (there was a clean Windows 10 installation on it), and I am within my 30 day return policy, so unless I can get it fixed myself, I am thinking of returning it. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

Try connecting via Ethernet cord and see if the speed improves. If it does, the WiFi card may be going bad. It happens. You can either then replace the internal card, or get yourself an external one that connects via USB port.
