you are missing the point. Nobody is saying it would perform better than a desktop. that has never been the reason for laptops. laptops has been for mobility. with the new arm chip.. laptops will become really "mobile". thats what this is about. most people dont want desktop type graphics performance while on the move and you sure hell cant carry your desktop pc around... this arm chip allows you to have a macbook type feel and also be able to play games with reasonable amount of graphics, something apple cannot boast of since developers wont develop games for their chip or OS. However with the shift to windows arm, apple might soon begin to get some love but yeah.. we will see.
