Hello all you pc lovers out there!
I got myself in a bit of a jam here. The story is like this. yesterday I tried to fix my moms laptop. She had some problems with here Microsoft Office. So I messed around and made some changes to it, eventually I got it to work fine again. The thing is its not here laptop, she got it from the company she works for and she can take it home like everyday.
However today the genius from the IT section of that company, for some reason, poked around his nose and find out somebody make some changes. He even knew exactly at what hour I did those changes! He kinda got pissed off, cuz it was his job to keep maintenance on the company pc and stuff like that.....
Bottom line: what method or what program did he use to sniff out the changes in the latop? , to see exactly at what hour and day somebody installs or unistans a program, or makes changes to it.
And another thing, in the future : what method or program should I use to erase all of my tracks?

Please be patient with me here people  , and if theres no easy way to answer my questions, please explain to me step by step. ;) THX!

Being a former IT "genius", I say keep your hands off company property and forget about "erasing all your tracks". That's exactly why there's monitoring software on company owned computers so that novice IT geniuses don't screw them up.

I think your post points out the difficulty that IT staff have with users who think they know what they are doing but actually don't. If you can't work out how they were able to monitor what you did then I'm certainly not going to tell you; but it's not exactly rocket science.

Your mom is lucky that she didn't get fired for allowing an unauthorized individual to mess about with her company laptop. Just leave it alone next time and let the people who are paid to deal with problems, and have the knowledge to do so, do their job.

Heah I see the envy and I see the jealousy.
I need to explain myself. The "IT specialist dude" is never around when you need him. Why he never does his job? Don't care. All I know is that the owner of the company ,has been calling me for quite some time to fix up his computers. I do so gladly and I do so well, even in this case. Why I don't work for the company instead of the "IT specialist dude" , is nobody's business.
No I am not a pro and I don't intend to know them all. I came to this forum cuz I know where you can find smart people with good intentions in helping others.
I need the forum's help, NOT a slap on the face from frustrated people like Grumpy9117 and ijack. If you guys have shiity lifes take it up with a psychiatrist, don't dirty my thread with your insulting posts.
