My daughter is not a big gamer but she plays a few games on Steam that lag a lot on our laptop.
She also really wants to install shaders to minecraft and have it run well....and look beautiful in her words.
So obviously I don’t want to spend a huge amount of money for her to play 4-5 games.
I know nothing so please give me as many details as you can. Thanks

Hey!

Sorry for the late reply, literally searched the websites empty to get you the best laptop.

For your $1000 budget I found this as literally the best bang for your buck :

https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/acer-a715-71g-55r7-156in-notebooks-black-intel-core-i5-7300h-qnvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-up-to-2-gb-gddr5-dedicated-8gb-ddr4-1-tb-windows-10-home-nxgp8aa/PRD1NZC8L0L7GF3

But, I also looked furher and even spotted a extremely good deal.

This laptop is just $100 more but a lot better than the $1000 one. The deal is honestly amazing and your daughter will love it. Both laptops have great CPU’s so thats fine. The first laptop has a Gtx 1050 2Gb vram which is a good Graphics card. She will need this if she wants to have a playable minecraft with high Frames Per second.

The $100 more expensive one has a Gtx 1050ti. This is a 4Gb vram card, can handle a lot more than the base 1050 model and really worth the $100 upgrade

All up to you sir. To be honest, if you’re gonna get her a long-term good laptop, I suggest the 2nd laptop. The 1st one will Graphically wise outdate quite fast.

Really, the $100 above is really worth it for a long term happy child! :)

Keep me updated and goodluck! Let me know if you have questions.

(p.s. I have looked at cheaper laptops but they all lack a Graphical card which is really bad. The $1000 mark is really the sweet spot. Your daughter will appreciate this)

I have a Acer Aspire V. Intel i3. That’s all I know. She likes to play Subnautica mostly because of the beautiful graphics. My budget is less than a gaming pc. Lol. I also just want to make the right choice. I would like the minimum but I don’t want to spend less if it’s not going to work.

Can you list some Canadian sites where I can look? Like your local PC / Laptop store or Big store? Or websites you know?

Thanks!
