Pretty cool until it doesn't go off and you have to explain to your boss you're late because the sun wasn't out...

I was just trying to use my laptop outside. Couldn't see very much on the screen even with the brightness cranked and battery rapidly draining. The best cover I could find was sun-dappled shade under a tree. Since this needs to be in the sun and the laptop in heavy shade I can't see the device being terribly useful.
