Hi
I bought a medion e4251 yesterday and it typed fine. Today the keys with both letters and number will only type the numbers, it wont type the letters. Any suggestions please

Solution
No need to reboot the computer unless it is not working at all. Nor "Safe Mode" for that matter.

Sounds like you just locked the numbers. It happens and can be quite easy to do on some laptops.

Try the following... press Fn + NumLk key on the keyboard or Fn + Shift + NumLk, different laptops use different key combos.

Sometimes the keyboard does not work in a laptop and due to software failure. To make sure that this is the cause of the breakdown, you can perform the following actions:

Put the laptop into reboot mode, hold down the Delete key (in some laptops, the F1 and F2 buttons are also used for such an operation - read the instructions) - this is necessary to exit into the BIOS.
Provided that the keyboard responds - you need to load Windows in safe mode (holding down the F8 key for Windows XP, Vista, 7). In the menu, select the download in safe mode without drivers.
Testing of the keypad without drivers and without the participation of most system services.
After testing the same way, we return the normal operation mode of the laptop.
