Sony Tv won't stay on

Well when I hit the power button it turns on and then it turns off and then back on. The red standby button keeps flashing. Please need some help.

Likely the power board needs to be replaced or at least serviced if there are bad capacitors on it. If it's a small or older TV it may be better to just replace it.
