Sony Vaio Laptop "Operating system not found" Please help!

i everyone! Recently I turned on my laptop and when the laptop is turning on I get a black screen saying operating system not found. I had windows 10 on the machine. I've tried rebooting and using the assist button but I get the same screen. I was able to get to the 'setup utility screen" by pressing f2, I tried to reset the bios but nothing changed, in the setup utility screen it says : Hard Disk Drive : None. With the hdd is in the laptop. I tried a different hard drive and it worked on the laptop. Does this mean the original hdd is broken? Is there anything I can do? Please help me, I can't afford to get it fixed. Thanks p.s the model is Sony vaio vpcee34fx

if other hard drives are seen by the bios but the original drive is not seen then the drive is dead.
