i need driver for built-in memory card readers for windows 7 for the vaio vgn-tz17gn. sony support page doesn't have win7 specific drivers and the vista drivers don't work.

Perhaps you got the wrong set of drivers? Sometimes the same models of laptops come with different card readers. Check Sony's driver list to see if they have anything else.
