Sony VAIO connects to networks but not to internet

Take a look in Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections tab>LAN button and if there's a tick in the Proxy box, remove it and make sure there's one in Automatically connect bix.

Click Apply and OK your way out and after a restart, you should be good to go - online.
