It's enclosed in a metal casing (Faraday Cage) of course it's shock proof. Ever wondered why you can't shock your computer case and blow up your computer? Charge will only flow on the outside of a conductor, unless given a reason to flow inwards.

For those with kids....at < 1" thick, I'm thinking it should be toaster proof too ^_^

Only 14 degrees F? Guess I can't use that during a Wyoming winter! My Nikon SLR's all work when it's colder than that. Though I do keep them under my coat, except the lens, don't want it fogging up!

Well thats handy, i do make a habbit of dropping cameras into my liquid nitrogen tank containing (liquid nitrogen) dust and electricity.
