sound card question

I don't know if I am in the right place because I am a newbie here. I am going to get a sound card for my Compaq 5wv270. I don't want anything fancy or expensive I just want some sound lol. What would be a good inexpensive sound card that I could get that would be compatible with my computer? Thanks in advance. 😀

For old computers it's better to get a sound card that is widely use; Creative. You probably still using windows 98 on that thing.
