Sound issues MSI GE72VR 6RF Apache Pro

Have owned this machine <1 week. Sound crackling/popping issues out of the box. Did a driver uninstall/reinstall, seemed to resolve. Then 2 days later, no sound. Have done full Windows update, installed Nahamic driver from MSI support site. No sound. Uninstalled Nahamic. Sound worked again, for a few seconds. Sputtered and cracked and had a weird reverb.

Not sure if I should continue messing with drivers or just return this thing

If it was having problems when you got it and/or when this new, you should be contacting the place of purchase and have them replace it for you. No new device should be giving you such problems.

I am interested in that exact same laptop btw, Trying to look for help but struggling.

What screen is it? It never seems to mention the screen details on the websites for purchasing except the resolution

i have the problem (after windows update) with the cracked sound. i closed Nahamic and work fine. so unistall should work. if is not, try restore from factory pressing F3 when BIOS startup. If the sound works after that, is a driver problem, not a hardware problem

Thank you fo this recommendation. I will try this when i get home. I'm hoping its a bad driver.
