sound output is very low on my vsx-43

I have a turntable connected to the cd input of my VSX-43 Pioneer tuner I have
to turn it to full to hear music which only sounds like it is at 3 from 0 to 10, any ideas?.

You should be connecting a turntable to a phono input, not a cd input. That input would provide you with the needed gain as well as equalization. I'm not sure off hand if that receiver has one. If not, you'll need to pick up a phono preamp, and connect your turntable to that, and send the preamp's output to your cd input. That oughta do it. You can find a preamp on eBay, ranging from under 20 bucks to a few hundred.

I would like to attach my Samsung TV output to my Reciever. I used the LD input and it worked fine, but has now stopped working. It is a VSX 452. I also used the CD input for my Samsung smartphone.

What I did after that was working was to set preset FM stations.Play them for a while. Now they still work but nothing on the LD and CD input selections.
