Sound problem

my dell laptop speaker volume is not working properly the sound gets distorted

Does it happen both when using laptop speakers and headphonejack? Try reinstalling the audio driver or roll it back to a previous version. If that doesn't work, either reinstall windows or contact customer service Preferably customer service before reinstalling windows.
