Sound Stopped Working

I have a LG TV model # 42LB5600LH and the sound stopped working. The picture is perfect. Seems stupid to throw it away. Any suggestions?

Sometimes you can get sound by using a soundbar with the TV If that doesn't work then connecting all your external sources to an HDMI input selector with audio extraction to feed audio a soundbar directly bypassing the TV completely for sound.
