Sound very low and crackling

I am having an issue with my home theater system. I have a Samsung TV, Dennon receiver with a Directv box and a blueray player running through them. the system has worked fine for almost a year now and all of a sudden the sound from certain channels is not working properly and the same thing is happening while watching dvd's. because the problem is happening from multiple sources I tried a new receiver but that did not work. Any suggestions?

check for a broken wire on your speakers or one that pulled out. if the sound that missing is the tv try hitting reset or the tv and reciver to rule out programing issues.

Since the problem happens on more than one source and persists even if you change the receiver then the speakers are all that is left. To make sure take one of the speakers that is not working correctly and switch it with one that is. If the problem stays on the speaker than that is it.
