americanaudiophile :
Check the TV menu and see if there is a place in the audio menu to either turn it on or change the type of audio it puts out and try the choices. Also make sure you have selected the optical input on the soundbar.
I haver checked and tried everything. The audio wimdow setup is as follows:
SRS TruSurround HD ON/OFF
SRS TruVolume ON/OFF
EQ Setting Flat/Classical/Rock/Pop/Jazz
Balance -/+ 0
Speakers ON/OFF
Digital Audio Auto/Force PCM
Bas + Treble
Reset Audio Mode
I have tried every permutation I can think of and still no Dice. Two sounbars(Philips) 2 TV's(afore mentioned Vizio's) RCA input works, Audio input/Aux(for radios, mp3's etc). Haven't tried USB or Digital Coaxial(nothing to hook up to in this case. Still in a quandry.
