Thumb me down, but I'm not really all hyped up about all these tablets anymore. Great idea by Apple to make tablets a trend n all.. But after reading so many articles about tablets, every manufacturer is pretty much offering the exact same thing "MULTIMEDIA". I'm fine with just a light notebook and a smartphone. I don't see these things as a necessity that requires me to spend a couple hundred bucks when entertainment is found pretty much everywhere.

As much as I love my Tour, I can't get excited over tablets no matter who makes them. I use my BB as a work device (email and looking up bits of info I need) and occasionally as a GPS. I just really can't see myself ever needing or wanting one of these tablet toys and I too see most of the excitement just as a result of a hype feedback loop and not really filling a void in my life. I will admit I want an Asus 101MT netbook, but I'm going to wait for the first revision and for the Linux gurus to get the issues worked out with multitouch before I get one.

I agree. I thought that was the point of these PDA/smartphones. If you want something bigger, then get a laptop. Tablets are not necessary especially if they can't do anything but show movies or web.

I think that tablets would be cool if they came with a stylus and allowed you to write and take notes and use them like paper. It would be even cooler if when you're done taking a page of notes it digitizes the page that you finished writing while loading the next page or something. I would find that useful cause you could take it with you to meetings or classes in school, have digital notes that you could put up on your workstation when you get back. I really liked the concepts that the Microsoft courier had, but they scrapped that project.

Am I understanding this correctly? The device will really just be an extension of your BB? More reason to look at a netbook.

I want a tablet with out any reference to a 2 year contact that cost what my netbook did at $399.

A blackberry tablet sounds cool, but the lack of apps makes me want a windows 7 based tablet, this thing will be useless.
