Speaker to line level convertor

Will it demage the receiver if using the external amplifier to run the front speaker?

This is not a great method.
Use the preamp output to the new power amp instead.
There "are" speaker to line converters...but not that great. You can get one on e bay or amazon.

Yes...you can do it...but the distortion is pretty high.
