speakers and subwolfer started sounding muffleld

Logitech Z3 speakers with subwolfer worked fine on pc for couple of years. they plug into rear jack. Now they sound muffled and annoying . What happened.> I just plugged the speakers into my phone and they sound bad there also. So its not my PC . Definitely the speakers. The plug into the subwolf will come out easily but its both speakers and the sub sounding distorted and muffled

To confirm it is not your PC try another set of speakers just to be sure. (The phone audio may not be the best to test with...)

What happens when you plug the plug into the subwolf and gently wiggle the plug around, push it sideways, etc.?

Does normal sound come back at all? Or one speaker or another at least get back full sound?

yes sometimes when i bumb the table it falls out of the back. It has gradually gotten worse but never affected the sound except when I pluged it back in . andall was well. Now it sounds awful.
