Speakers/Headphones/Mics not detected on Windows 7

I recently had my PC formatted and ever since then, my PC doesn't seem to detect ANY sound related hardware. I've already updated my drivers and tried using different speakers and stuff.

have you tried reinstalling your audio drivers? Also are you using usb or 3.5mm as your connection? If it's usb, try it on different usb ports (like trying a 2.0 port instead of 3.0).

I reinstalled my drivers several times, but to no avail. I'm using a 3.5mm as my connection.
