For the last few weeks, for no obvious reason, I haven’t dropped it or anything like that, the speakers on my laptop have been making a crackling and popping sound whenever I move or touch it, particularly if I pick it up close to the touch pad. This results in the speakers muting completely, however it is still detecting levels in the playback devices menu and the trouble-shooter reports no issues and playback is fine through headphones. However, when I close my laptop and put it to sleep, when it reawakens playback is fine, until I touch it or move it again, then the crackling, popping and muting begins again. However, on a couple of occasions, after reawakening the laptop, no audio device is detected, then the trouble-shooter runs and ends up having to reinstall drivers. I have updated all the drivers and ran the trouble-shooters but no luck so far. Is there anything else I can check software wise or is it a problem with the actual speakers? Can anyone tell me where the speakers are located if I do decide to take it apart? Any help and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
