Speakers to tv

Can someone please help. How can i connect my logitech z506 speakers to my lg lf6100 smart tv. I have tried and nothing happened. I am begging for help.

The only audio out your TV has is digital optical. You will need a converter like this -- http://www.amazon.com/Panlong-Audio-Digital-Decoder-Converter/dp/B00AMC2J1Y to convert from digial to analog.

Cables won't work because I didn't see any audio output, in the pictures of your TV, except optical digital.

What cables / jacks do i have to get?

You would use one toslink optical cable to connect the converter to the TV. You would then use the green/orange/gray cables that came with the Logitech.

No, they are INPUTS to the TV not outputs. The square port with the white center it the digital optical OUTPUT. That is the only OUTPUT shown.
