Specs for gaming laptop ($2500 max)

I want to get a good laptop for games like WoW. I'd like a 17" screen. My budget is $2500, but I'd rather keep it closer to $2000. I'm looking for advice on specs. What video cards are good and which ones to stay away from. What processor is good etc. I've read that some video cards just don't handle the load well; some laptops get too hot and reboot or freeze, when playing games. I'd appreciate any recommendations that will help me make a good choice.

If you can wait,then wait for Sandy bridge laptops to come out(In March).
