Speeding up my laptop.

I am looking to speed up my laptop as much as possible without spending a huge amount of money. I was wondering what I could do to speed up my laptop. I am considering putting a Hybrid HDD into my laptop. My disc drive doesn't work though.

Normally the only things you can upgrade in a laptop are the ram and the hard drive. Some do allow you to upgrade the cpu and gpu but these are the high end laptops.

Would putting in a hybrid HDD help greatly with boot speed and overall performance? I did research and kind of figured out that it would be pointless to try to look for a new CPU and GPU.

Yes, hybrid drives do increase the speed of programs. This will be not be noticed initially as the h hdd will have to cache the commonly used to programs first.
