Solved! SSD upgrade

Hello,
I just got a Toshiba Portege R830-S8330 running Window 7 64-bit with i7-2620M, 4gb ram & 128gb ssd. I want to upgrade the SSD to 256gb Crucial M4 but not sure whether it is compatible or not?

What does your User's Manual state about the SSD? Is it an eSATA or srd. SATA interface? SATA II or SATA III ?

If the hard drive you're buying is SATA 2 and 2.5 in form factor, it's compatible. SATA 3 hasn't been used in any laptops yet, and won't be for quite some time.

It is a SATA II.

I called Crucial. They told me that it is not compatible because the Samsung SSD in the Portege is 7mm thick, while the Crucial M4 is 9.5mm thick. Thank you for all your answers.
