I've been waiting for this to happen for years. I can't wait for instant on computing, more battery life, and more room for a faster GC in my laptops. Someday traditional hard drives will look like CRTs do right now.

I've been waiting for this to happen as well. While it won't be 'instant on' computing..... it will be a heck of a lot FASTER computing!

I'd say that once SSD's get into the... 200GB range, we will see them replace regular hard drives.
