Nothing better than NOT showing any in game footage.....
Movie trailers show ACTUAL movie clips, by for some reason game trailer NEVER show actual footage and everyone seems to love it. I wish I understood why people love that. I for one would like to see the ACTUAL game before I decide to buy it, not some prerended nonsense how every fancy it my be

Ridiculous and over the top. This starkiller guy has powers to top Yoda and Palpatine's crappy powers by a power of 100. While Yoda struggles madly to elevate Skywalker's x-wing, you've got this starkiller guy pulling an entire Republic cruiser out of orbit from a distance.

Why not just ram a star into a planet, ala his nickname? Why even build a deathstar?

[citation][nom]WheelsOfConfusion[/nom]Compared these Force powers to what you actually see in the live action movies, whether old or new. This is more like Dragon Ball Z than Star Wars.[/citation]

[citation][nom]LePhuronn[/nom]The abilities in the game are perfectly fine. Who knows how far you can go with such mastery of the Force, but it's the context that's the issue - Vader has an apprentice with more mastery of the Dark Side than Palpatine? I don't think so.No problem at all seeing this level of ass-kickery in the Old Republic when Jedi were dime-a-dozen, but after the Purge?[/citation]

I gotta agree with both of you a bit here. Out of the blue you get "no name Jedi #147" who can just throw Vader around on a whim and annihilate storm-troopers at a molecular level? Where were these powers in the movies? For f**ks sake, Vader could have obliterated Alderaan with his mind if that's the case, he didn't need no stinkin death star.

The Demo is on PSN, its exactly the same as the first one with better graphics. Simplistic hack and slash tosh, why they didnt take a leaf out of God of War's book I dont know.

This game will be awesome, I also like the original...regardless of the negative reviews the first one got. I believe that the reason these abilities never came in movies is probably because they had to stick to the first 3 episodes (4/5/6) where the SFX was still limited and overwhelming powers was not an option. They can't just improve the CGI to a level in the last 3 episodes (1/2/3) and then miss the connection to the original.

Besides, this game features its own story which is adapted from the Star Wars theme.

I actually like the fact of an overpowered force, it was always a pity that it was so limited in the movies.

@ LOtus its because Star wars is based on Akira Kurosawas movie Hidden fortress lucus said it himself, So Darth's helmet is from Japanese battle Armour.

and BTW both Lucus and Spielberg list Akira Kurosawa as the director they most admire , you should see Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, and Hidden Fortress awesome movies

it is silly to try to apply any logical coherence to the abilities of force users between different games/movies/books, etc.

the first clone wars cartoon series had everyone with "force unleashed" powers but i was more than happy with it because it was good.

the videos/story from the first one are fun to watch on youtube if you havent seen them.

i'm definitely not shelling out full price for this again at launch, will wait.

You don't know Starwars.

In official star wars lore "starkiller" is considered to be one of the strongest if not the strongest user of the force in all star wars history.

The emperor even tells him that Vader is wasting his full potential.

Any LucasArts game has great cinematics. Combine that with the familiar mythology of "Star Wars," and you have a compelling title, at least as far as mass appeal goes. I'll reserve judgment on this title until I play it. Certainly, the visuals look appealing, but graphics alone don't make a game great; gameplay is more important. The best character control in a "Star Wars" title that I've experienced was the excellent "Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast" and its sequel, "Jedi Academy." Two of the best "Star Wars" games ever produced, along with "Knights of the Old Republic," of course.

Warezme: Seems a bit out of scale considering a Jedi Knight would often struggle to draw his light saber back in to his hand from a few feet away.

Excellent point. In the time it took Luke to pull his lightsaber out of the ice, Starkiller would have gone back in time, banged Luke's mom. Waited 9 months. Killed the fetus with his mind. And teleported back to the present.
