I have an Entone 500 STB for home cable, as well as a standard Android box for google radio apps (to listen to european radio).
Both these boxes are connected to a 10 year old LG Plasma TV via HDMI. The optical audio from both these boxes is connected to my home theater receiver.
When TV is on, everything is working fine.
When the TV is off, the HDMI signal stops and both these units go into standby, and I lose the audio.
I don't want to have the TV on to listen to audio only, either from the STB music channels, or the android radio app.
I have not been able to find any settings to override the audio muting when both these boxes stop sending HDMI.
I can't be the only one with this issue. Any suggestions are welcomed.
