Solved! Steel series arctis 1 mic not working

My steel series arctis 1 mic is detected, but it all it does is produce a static noise, I bought this headset an hour ago.

This is the wireless version btw.

That's a removable mic on the headset, I'd guess you did not plug it in all the way. Try re-seating it. If it's tight in the plug, test it with a few other things. If the issue happens on every device, exchange it.
